Central Cardiff isn't really set up for casual driving and parking near the shops on a Saturday, so if you're coming from one of the districts just outside the centre — Riverside, Grangetown, Adamsdown — it's often just as quick to walk or catch a bus in as it is to drive and park. There's no free parking directly outside; every option nearby is a paid multi-storey or on-street meter, which is worth building into your morning if you're the sort of person who likes to arrive with time to spare.

For patients coming from further out along the A48 or the A470, aim for the signs to the city centre and St David's rather than the Bay, and allow extra time if there's an event on at Principality Stadium or the Motorpoint Arena, both a short walk away — match days and concert nights can add a genuine ten or fifteen minutes to the last stretch of any drive in.

By train, bus, or bike

Cardiff Queen Street station is about four minutes' walk away, and Cardiff Central station is around ten minutes on foot or one stop on almost any bus heading into the centre — between the two, the practice is realistically reachable by rail from almost anywhere in south Wales without needing a car at all. If you're coming in on the Valley Lines or from the Vale of Glamorgan, Queen Street is usually the more convenient of the two stations to aim for.
